The beautifully elegant Winged Victory of Samothrace (Nike of Samothrace) has stood atop a staircase at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, enchanting visitors since 1884. This Greek masterpiece is sculpted from white Parian marble and dates back to around the beginning of the 2nd Century BC. It is a must see on any visit to the French capital. This black and white image has hand blended textures to compliment the historical feel of the scene.
