This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
MARBLE STREET IN EPHESUS is a digital photograph by Carla Parris.
The city of Ephesus, located in modern day Turkey, was an ancient Greek city and, later, a major Roman city. Its current name is Efes.
It was the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Ephesus was a trade center in the ancient world, and an important city in the history of Christianity.
The Marble Road, pictured here, was a main street between the impressive Library of Celsius and the classical theater where, as recounted in the Biblical book of Acts, the apostle Paul preached to pagans. These are streets on which early church figures walked, and where Biblical events transpired.
The construction of the Marble Road dates to the 1st century A.D, and it was rebuilt in the 5th century.
Excavations are continuing to this day, and more ancient sites are being uncovered as work continues.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
