Description
Arthur Linz (1895-1961), US chemist. Linz studied at Columbia University, New York, and at Zurich Polytechnic Institute in Switzerland. He specialised in the study of the chemistry of the element molybdenum and its compounds. His publications included 'Molybdenum compounds, their chemistry and technology' (1952), co-authored in New York with David H. Killeffer. Linz was Vice-President of the Climax Molybdenum Company (founded in Colorado in 1916), and a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemists (FAIC). Photographed by the Blackstone Studios photographic studio, active in the 1930s and 1940s in Chicago, USA.
